Bubble Blast St Patrick's Day 2.0.7

With less than a week until St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd take a worry off my head and present something thematically appropriate. Yet appropriate is a forced word since there are multiple versions of Bubble Blast, such as Valentine or Halloween. Yet if your requirements are only skin deep, having pots of gold in lieu of bats, hearts and whatnot should be enough to remind you of the great times are to follow.

Bubble Blast is a ridiculously simple concept. Each level represents a grid of bubbles (Korrigan hats, four leaf clovers or pots of gold). Each bubble has a certain degree of sturdiness which translates into the number of hits it can take before bursting. Whenever a balloon bursts it sends fragments in the four orthogonal directions, damaging or bursting the balloons that are in their way. This usually creates chain reactions is the key to finishing each level. To trigger the reaction you will have a limited number of taps. The point is to tap the right balloons so that none is left at the end.
There are two game modes. In Puzzle you have a a very limited amount of taps which a re all needed to solve the level. The Arcade mode grants you ten taps, and contains forgiving levels.
I don't yet understand if this is supposed to be a game about puzzles or trial and error. Spotting the right combination can get insanely difficult, and since you have unlimited "lives" , there's simply no reason not to tap on the most probable ones until you finally trigger the correct sequence.

Conclusion

Bubble Blast is probably fun if you're celebrating the St. Patrick's Day alone, after you've already had a couple of Guinness's.
